Shi Shi Jacobs is a Chinese American graphic designer creating thoughtful and welcoming experiences across print, web, and brand design. Rooted in curiosity, care, and connection, her practice uses design as a way to build community, bridge cultures, and create space for reflection and shared growth.

She designs to bring people to the table, blending purposeful storytelling with considered details to foster genuine empathy and celebrate the human spirit.

Currently based in Philadelphia, she brings her Boston roots to her role as a Junior Graphic Designer on the Brand Identity team at Urban Outfitters down in the Navy Yard.

WORK






BackgroundSpaghetti Scotto is a typeface made from overcooked spaghetti noodles. Born from a Sunday night dinner, it plays with form-making and serves as an initial thesis experiment that sparked an exploration of food as a literal medium.  Each glyph was created from one spaghetti noodle using a grid inspired by the layout of a gas stovetop.

Spaghetti Scotto is intended to be consumed immediately!
